Pas drijema, ona radi jogu. lijepa slika. lijepi pokreti. sve nekako lijepo, mirno i bez žurbe. nema dosade.

Edith Head was one of the most acclaimed costume designers in cinema history. Born in 1897, she started working on costumes in the early days of talkies and worked on almost 500 movies before her death in 1981.

Despite having no formal training in costume design, Edith Head started working on silent films in 1925 and later, moving from Paramount to Universal, she worked extensively with Alfred Hitchcock styling the unforgettable look of Kim Novak in Vertigo

and Tippi Hedren in The Birds

Edith Head

"Your dress should be tight enough to show you are a woman, yet loose enough to show you are a lady."

Anna May Wong in Dangerous to Know (1938)

"What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not. We ask the public to believe that every time they see a performer on the screen he's become a different person."

Audrey Hepburn, British actress, born in Brussels, where she was born May 4, 1929 in a family of Dutch Baroness Ella van Heemstra and the English banker John Victor Hepburn-Ruston, received the name of Edda Kathleen van Heemstra Hepburn. She had two older half-brothers, sons of the mother's first marriage.

After another family scandal in 1935, his father left the family and went to England, little Ed stayed with his mother in Brussels. In nine years, Ed was studying in a private school, where showed good skills, especially her checkered dance lessons.

Since the beginning of the war, before the occupation of the Nazis with his brothers Ed and his mother moved to live in the family estate at Arnhem in Holland.

Five years of occupation were the most terrible period in the life of Audrey Hepburn, thinking she would say:

After the war, I was grateful to have survived, and realized that the most important thing in life - human relations. They are much more important than wealth, food, luxury, career, the most important thing in the world.
Family estate was confiscated and the family moved to a small farmhouse on the outskirts of Arnhem. Ed and his family was starving and ate old bread and lettuce, which were grown in the garden. In one winter supplies had to eat tulip bulbs. Later, Audrey Hepburn was the thinness of the consequences of impaired metabolism due to constant hunger.

During the occupation of the mother Edda was a member of the anti-Nazi underground and her daughter often participated as a messenger. Podkonets occupation during the raid police arrested Edda, but the guards did not espied a fragile girl and Ed ran away.

Hiding from his pursuers in the basement, she had it for almost a month, fed found rotten apples and bread, which was purchased before the police raid. One night, when the night began bombing, Edda snuck home. After this confinement in a damp basement Ed became ill with jaundice, and eventually found her asthma.

When the war ended the family moved to Amsterdam Edda, where they settled in a basement apartment. To feed the family's mother Edda, Baroness Ella van Heemstra, was hired as a housekeeper in a wealthy family.

Showing the success in the dance Ed went to ballet school Olga Tarasova.
